Summit High School Jaguar Food Pantry Donation Drive: During the month of November, we observe National Homelessness and Hunger Awareness Week. 

 

According to feedingtexas.org, Texas has the second highest rate of food insecurity in the nation. The rate of food insecurity in Texas is 16.9%, more than 4.5% higher than the U.S. average.  One in 6 Texas households experience food insecurity.  More than 1.9 million families, including approximately 5.1 million Texans, are at risk for experiencing hunger, particularly during the holiday seasons. 

 

Let’s stand in solidarity to support the students at Summit High School and the residents of Mansfield, TX, by purchasing items to feed 25 families during this Thanksgiving season.
