EMPOWERING MALES TO BUILDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR DEVELOPING INDEPENDENCE (EMBODI)

Who We Are:

Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence or EMBODI is a program designed for young men ages 11-18. EMBODI addresses the plight of young African American males by focusing on productive and meaningful dialogue, mentoring, community service, education, self-efficacy, leadership, physical and mental health, and financial literacy. EMBODI’s purpose is to empower young men to immerse themselves in African And African American culture to see themselves as a person of great worth who can take his place with a life of meaning and accomplishment.

Are You:

A young man between the ages of 11 and 18
Exhibit great academic and personal promise
Show interest in developing leadership skills
Desire encouragement and support in pursuit of leadership skills and academic achievement

Application Instructions:

A completed application and photo must be received by October 2, 2021.

Youth Initiatives Application 2021-2022 (completed & submitted online)

Interested students and parent(s) must attend the kickoff and orientation.
